I tend not to be
a fan of looking at things that way, by market caps or sectors, even though some studies suggest small cap values do better than overall value etc...

While a lot
of Arsenal
fans may be feeling that Arsene Wenger and the players have missed a trick by failing to win our away game
at Bournemouth in order to capitalise on the very welcome defeat
of the current Premier League leaders Chelsea last night, I
look at things a different way.
It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced
at Arsenal without
looking at the big picture... like the
fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a striker who plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead
of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes
of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only
thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his time
at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge
of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer
The first
thing that
fans look at when considering spending is
of course the transfers that have come and gone, and on that front our income has simply not been spent, with AFC pocketing a net profit on transfers this summer.

If you were
looking for a sign
of whether all the confidence among us Arsenal
fans and the nice
things (for a change) said about us in the football media
at the minute are an accurate depiction
of where the current crop
of Gunners stands when compared to our main rivals for the Premier League, including the dreaded Jose Mourinho and his expensively assembled Chelsea team, then you should be encouraged by the words
of Arsene Wenger.
I hope Welbeck proves the doubters wrong and shows he has a lot to offer Arsenal. One

4) yes Keita: he's got a release clause that get's activated next year it's around 45 mil if I remember correctly, i highly rate him as the all rounder Dm / Cm / Am does it all and can fill the cazorla void instantly, for anyone that are reading the 70 - 80 million valuation I don't see any team paying that, but making him the most expensive African player will sure tempt him to move Bid 45 mil with add ons and there is a big chance
of getting him, if they don't accept that offer to make a red bull commercial that should boost the sales

This is only one way
of looking at things,
of course, and I am sure that no Arsenal
fan would really be all that upset to see the German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund inflict a painful defeat on Tottenham tonight.
We should stop promoting Wilshere because he an English man for now that guy is not yet fit to play for England team, likewise for his club period, Arsenal is
looking for aggressive and a speedy striker to enable compete for the top four not someone that will play today and tomorrow his off and dismantle the clubs plans because
of injury or that, is it not the same Wilshere that some
of the
fan where criticizing him for all sort
thing and call for his exist
at Arsenal because he was a smoker and indiscipline?

A lot

I heard some funny
things from our
fans saying that him and Ozil being in the same team will be bad and that he's lazy. It's a shame that our club has turned into this. Can someone name a season where a team lost the title because
of a player's laziness.Even in the csse
of Arsenal no one has ever blamed us for not winning the title due to any player's laziness. The
thing is about
looking at the bigger picture. You need to
look at whether the players in team are playing to their strengths. That's the most important
thing. If Ozil played to his strength no one would mention anything about laziness.I hope we sign Riyad Mahrez.
Because ultimately this club should be about bigger
things, but to be honest
looking at some
fans, who care more about the state
of an employee
at the club called Arsene, rather than the club itself I wonder really if everyone cares about success.
players like Ozil always present the
fans with a bit
of a conundrum, especially when times are tough... if you
look around the sporting world every once in awhile there emerges a player with incredible skill, like Ozil, Matt Sundin or even Jay Cutler, who have a different way about themselves... their movement seemed almost too lackadaisical, so much so that it seemed to suggest indifference or even disinterest on the part
of the player... their posture always appears somewhat mopey and they generally have an unflattering «sour puss» expression on their face... for some their above average skills are enough to keep them squarely in the mix, as their respective teams try desperately to find a way to get the best out
of them visa vie player acquisitions or the reworking
of tactics... when
things go according to planned the
fans usually find a way to accept their unique disposition, whereas when
things go awry they become easy targets for
fans and pundits alike... in the case
of Ozil and Sundin, their successes on the international stage and / or with their former teams led many to conclude that if we surrounded such talented individuals with players that have those skills that would most likely bring the best
of these players success would surely follow... unfortunately both the Maple Leafs and our club chose to adopt half - measures, as each were being run by corporations who valued profitability over providing the best possible product on the field... for them, they cared more about shirt sales and season tickets than doing whatever was necessary... this isn't, by any stretch, an attempt to absolve Ozil
of any responsibility for his failures on the pitch... there is no doubt oftentimes his efforts were underwhelming, to say the least, but this club has been inept when it comes to providing this prolific passer with the kind
of players necessary for him to flourish... with our poor man's version
of Benzema up front, the headless chickens in Walcott, the younger Ox and Welbeck occupying wide positions far too often and the fact that Carzola, who provided Ozil with great service and more freedom to roam, was never truly replaced, the only real skilled outlet on the pitch was Sanchez... remember to be considered a world - class set - up man goals need to be scored and for much
of his time here he has been surrounded by some incredibly inept finishers... in the end, I'm not sure how long he will be in North London, recent sentiments and his present contract situation seem to suggest that he will depart
at season's end, but how tragic would it be if once again we didn't put our best foot forward and failed to make those moves that could have brought championship football back to our once beloved club... so when you think about this uniquely skilled player don't be so quick to shift all the blame on his shoulders because he will not be the first or the last highly skilled player to find disappointment
at the Emirates if we don't rid the club
of those individuals that are truly to blame for our current woes
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some
fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition
of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release
of Sanogo... if you
look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state
of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid
of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy
of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid
of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid
of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction
of things to come... some
fans have lamented wildly about the return
of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort
of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative
of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy
fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition
of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle
of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any
of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind
of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack
of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result
of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest
of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands
of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none
of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club
of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid
of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field
of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version
of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history
of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality
at the striker position falls once again squarely
at the feet
of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival
of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your
fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone
of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players
of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that
of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part
of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great
things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside
looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those
fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame
at the feet
of those who were well aware all along
of the potential pitfalls
of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
Okay so the transfer window has closed and we Arsenal
fans have had a little bit
of time in which to take in all that has happened and
look at things in a fairly reasonable and calm sort
of way (if that is ever possible when you are a football
fan).
I've had enough
of this crap,
look I honesty do think giroud is a good striker and he is a fairly consistant goal scorer, and every time he played for arsenal he gave 100 percent and I think we all appreciated the way he was, a true professional, but to say we as
fans were too critical
of him or that he didn't have enough
of a chance
at arsenal is just absolute bullshit, first
of all he has scored more headed goals than any other player in the prem since he arrived in 2012 so we did play to his strengths and he was our main striker for four long years and every pundit on sky and motd has
at one point said Giroud is not enough for arsenal to win the title ect, but, now we have sold him he is apparently the best
thing since sliced bread and the best buy
of the transfer window blah blah fuc * # * g blah.
Although it will be incredibly difficult to ever match his contributions on the pitch, it's vitally important for a former club legend, like Henry, to publicly address his concerns regarding the direction
of this club... regardless
of those who still feel that Henry has some sort
of agenda due to the backlash he received following earlier comments he made on air regarding Arsenal, he has an intimate understanding
of the game, he knows the
fans are being hosed and he feels some sense
of obligation, both professionally and personally, to tell it like he sees it... much like I've continually expressed over the last couple months, this team isn't evolving under this current ownership / management team... instead we are currently experiencing a «stagnant» phase in our club's storied history... a fact that can't be hidden by simply changing the formation or bringing in one or two individuals... this team needs fundamental change in the way it conducts business both on and off the pitch or it will continue to slowly devolve into a second tier club... regardless
of the euphoria surrounding our escape act on Friday evening, as it stands, this club is more likely to be fighting for a Europa League spot for the foreseeable future than a top 4 finish... we can't hope for the failures
of others to secure our place in the top 4, we need to be the manufacturers
of our own success by doing whatever is necessary to evolve as an organization... if Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke can't take the necessary steps following the debacle they manufactured last season, their removal is imperative for our future success... unfortunately, I strongly believe that either they don't know how to proceed in the present economic climate or they are unwilling to do whatever it takes to turn this ship around... just
look at the current state
of our squad, none
of our world class players are under contract beyond this season, we have a ridiculous wage bill considering the results, we can't sell our deadwood because we've mismanaged our personnel decisions and contractual obligations, we haven't properly cultivated our younger talent and we might have become one
of the worst clubs ever when it comes to way we handle our transfer business, which under Dein was one
of our greatest assets... it's time to get
things right!!!
Giggs was 17 Fabragas 17 Rooney 17 Beckham 17 why are we dissapionted he
looks very very good better than Wlishire so let's not think all the time that spending millions is always the answer Ozil
at 42 million seems a waist but hope now with Sanches and Wellbeck he can show his worth and Coquelin to rub some
of the so called
fans, his nose in them too.Cant wait for City game being in Australia getting up
at 3 am now that
things are improving is gonna be like ol times COYG CB
much like when a country can't divulge highly classified information publicly for obvious economic and military reasons, a professional soccer organization must keep certain
things in - house so they don't devalue a player, expose a weakness, provide info that could give an opposing club leverage in future negotiations and / or give them vital intel regarding a future match, but when dishonesty becomes the norm the relationship between cub and
fan will surely deteriorate... in our particular case, our club has done an absolutely atrocious job when it comes to cultivating a healthy and honest relationship with the media or their
fans, which has contributed greatly to our lack
of success in the transfer market... along with poor decisions involving weekly wages, we can't ever seem to get true market value for most
of our outgoing players and other teams seem to squeeze every last cent out
of us when we are
looking to buy; why wouldn't they, when you go to the table with such a openly desperate and dysfunctional team like ours, you have all the leverage; made even worse by the fact that who wouldn't want to see our incredibly arrogant and thrifty manager squirm during the process... the real issue
at this club is respect, a word that appears to be entirely lost on those within our hierarchy... this is the starting point from which all great relationships between club and supporters form... this doesn't mean that a team can't make mistakes along the way, that's just human nature, it's about how they chose to deal with these situations that will determine if this relationship flourishes or devolves..

The first
thing in the «Simeone case» is to understand that we are
looking at a very unusual club - coach relationship, «Simeone is not Atletico's coach — he is a God for the
fans, a saviour, the guy who took a buried giant and, overnight, converted it into one
of Europe's top five clubs.
No one can doubt the greatness
of Van Gaal as a coach, but
things are not

fans would have wanted to.
Guys why are we comparing arsenal to barca i love arsenal it my club but i must be realistic barca is lite years infront
of us
look at the champions league last year no match they have won the champions league twice in the last five years and the last one with kids just like arsenal so its not about how young players are because if your good enough your old enough and am afraid the arsenal youngsters walcott, deneilson, nasri, diaby, bendtner, even the great vanpercy who all arsenal
fans rate who as i mentioned before (Has not scored a free kick in god knows how long) world class right these players so far have not been good enoughso do nt blame injuries too much do nt blame refs
look at the way arsenal do
things something is wrong here is a prime example eboue joined arsenal in the 2004/2005 season to date now tell me that a long time right would you say he is a much better player than when he arrived i think no he has improved but only very little and thats the point football is a short business
at a big club you spend three seasons for the most and then you must perform.
When
looking at football finances the one
thing I assume most
fans want to know is what it means in terms
of being able to buy players and pay wages.
Yes
things not
looking best
at the club and a section
of the
fans asking for a new man but that does nt take away what wenger is to the club and what he has done for Arsenal.
I cant understand some
fans how can you say a player like villa cud not do a job
at arsenal he is a world class finisher something we do nt hav
at the moment as much as henry is a god
at the emirates lets face it last yr he cudnt give us no more than 15 mins a game the pace had left him plus he iz now 35 david villa to me regardless his age is one
of the most prolific strikers out there like tola said
look at raul villa is that type
of player theu might lose pace but neva lose the knack
of scoring goals wenger bring him in and another
thing barca as a big club shud be ashame
of themselves still owing arsenal money
of those transfers for such a big club arsenal shud be going in for more players than jus david villa
i'll be honest, i'll be gutted if we go out tonight.when you
look at the teams left in the carling cup only man utd & villa possibly stand in our way from winning it.i honestly reckon that if it was an arsenal v man utd final every single arsenal
fan would be up for it, i know i would.the good
thing is as well the carling cup final is in feb and winning it could give huge confidence to the squad especially if we are in contention for the other trophies.the biggest
thing that worries me is injuries to key players, but imagine arsenal parading the cup
at wembley and every one
of those players having a winners medal on their sideboard, the team's belief would be an all - time high.while i agree with you that the 3 other trophies are more important, but don't you think it was great to hear wenger being positive.i thought it sent out a message
of intent and belief although we all know it's difficult winning one trophy besides 4.
there are 2 types
of fans in this world, the realists who
look at things as they are, in results terms and in terms
of how a player or players hav performed in games, this is all we can do we do nt see them on the training pitch, they hav to be judged on their contribution in games...... nasri, almunia, denilson, walcott....
@ larryking listen jock wenger could never coach anyother club because no big club would go six season without a trophy there is no way wenger could go to madrid and go two season without a trophy no way in hell he would be fired in no time bmunich fired klinsman less than half season
look at the real madrid coach grave yard pelligrinie made 95 + points last season that amount would win the league in almost any country yet he got fired i can go on if fergi goes two seasons without a trophy am sure he gone i love arsenal but football is about winning trophies wenger has hypnotize you i do nt care arsenal have gone five years without a trophy and six witout the league not even a carling cup or fa cup and loosing all our best players all for money all this talk about wenger and his youth policies i can count on both hands all the players that came through arsenal youth system that went on to be world beaters
look at the current crop walcott nasri diaby denilson bedtner clichy none
of these are world class they have improve minimal @ arsenal compare that to barca their youths pedro and co are world beaters event the great vanpercy who we rate he would never leave arsenal because all that chance wenger gives him he would» t get
at other big clubs this does not make sense we buy young players they take ages to develop most do nt» t then we sell them or they leave because they want to win
things that how you grow pretty soon that top four will become very hard to stay in if we get out
of that then what i wish all you wenger
fans luck am all out
of patients with him last chance this year................
He did nt mention anything about lots
of them
looking exactly the same, he had a really good play with a couple

With Battlefield 1 it almost feels like DICE took a hard

of the one
thing that every Battlefield

When
things go haywire and the countdown clock to a cataclysmic, Earth - wide geostorm starts, Devlin's movie (which he wrote with Paul Guyot, «The Librarians») metastasizes into the gargantuan - scale - but - still - cheap -
looking version
of a little boy's toy time that it always wanted to be: throwing baseballs
at figurines (hailstorm in Japan), drowning playsets in the bathtub (tidal wave in Dubai), turning a magnifying glass on insects (death ray on Moscow), and blowing a

When you
look at it as a whole you have a fairly decent screenplay with nice dialogue, great sets, a glossy, well - polished
look; plenty
of gifted actors (Chris Cooper and Elle
Fanning, above, particular stand - outs) doing their
thing making the most
of the material, and enough going on to hold you attention throughout — but by the time you reach the end, one can't help but feel a little empty.
