Your personal opinion
of a
book as «being boring» does not make for a very objective answer — especially in light
of the fact
of the
particular book we're talking about which, needless to say, has a few
fans that disagree with you
Book series
fans might have some idea
of which scene, in
particular, is causing trouble for Lionsgate; though, the studio has already made changes to the novel adaptations - with plenty more to come in the final two installments.
I was never a
particular fan of the X-Men comic
books growing up, and so when the first X-Men film came out, in 2000, I went to see it without any
particular expectations, positive or negative.
Fans of the
particular genre will recognize the conventions
of what they love to read, and be more inclined to come to the
book.
The next four
books down, which I'll read in no
particular order, just whichever fits my mood, are Dave Eggers» A Hologram for the King (I'm a huge
fan); Margaret Maron's One Coffee With (I'm so glad that Oconee Spirit Press just reissued this long out
of print title); Fountain
of Age, a collection
of stories by Nancy Kress (I really enjoyed her novel Beggars in Spain); and China Mieville's Railsea (I loved Un Lun Don, and this is another novel for kids).
Two
books that I'm a
particular fan of are Parenting with Love and Logic by Jim Faye and Positive Discipline by Jane Nelson.
