While this
game is not
as strong
as its predecessors, there is still plenty of fun to be had here, unfortunately the
single player campaigns are all
far too short and linear to hold your attention for long, but at least the multiplayer makes up for that by being a very solid offering indeed.
I first tried the
game in
single player and found it a little too chaotic, because in some of the later levels, things gradually start to heat up
as your make
further progress.
Despite a few nagging issues
as far as its online systems and a few

player modes with some rough edges, from top to bottom Dragon Ball FighterZ is going to be a tough competitor to top

Another reason was being able to use

player as a way to flesh out story elements that we hadn't been able to so
far, whether that's the characters from Off the Hook we've seen in their news capacity to this point, or Captain Cuttlefish, who has been missing since the first

While the
single player campaign comes across
as short and rather dull, the
game is
far more fun to play online, or even on the couch with friend, which is always a nice (and sometimes oddly missing) addition to
games nowadays.
In addition to
further single player statistics such
as distance driven, longest jump, wipeout count and how many Easter eggs have been found; there are also a set of online multiplayer statistics including the total number of
games played, podiums, wins and consecutive wins.
Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of neat unlockables like extra characters and customisation options, but I felt like I saw everything the
game had to offer
as far as single player went after the first few hours.
As explained, PS4 and Xbox One are by
far the best choice for online gaming, with an equally great selection of
single -
player games.

That said, Ubisoft continues to develop
single -
player only
games like South Park: The Fractured but Whole (due on October 17th) and Assassin's Creed Origins (due on October 27th), not to mention
single -
player games that can also be played co-operatively such
as the recent Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and the upcoming
Far Cry 5 (due on February 27th, 2018).
It's rare that Play & Listen's JD is right about anything when it comes to
games I'd like, but holy crap, The Witcher 3 is quite literally the best time I've had with a
game this year and,
as far as single player adventures go, it's the best
game I've had the pleasure of playing this console generation.
As longtime fans, we still took a certain satisfaction in gunning down giant robots, but the
game recycles the wave - based attack
far too liberally, making large sections feel like a
single -
player Escalation mode.

Bethesda
as a publisher is also

further develop the
single player campaign for
players that prefer to tackle the
game alone, but for now, playing with friends is the ideal way to go
as the
game is meant
as a social experience.
Single player presents a back - to - basics thrill ride of a
game that, in its simplicity, will appeal
far beyond the hardcore shooter crowd, with well - paced levels, a good story, a few genuinely creepy moments, and —
as usual — some of the best graphics in all of PC gaming.
