In the bad, old print days, my first choice TBR pile was
the far end of the kitchen counter.
At
the far end of the kitchen was the back staircase that led up to the servants» wing.
The far end of the kitchen has open storage for easy access and to display an array of beautiful kitchenware.
Not exact matches
All the back - and - forth between the
kitchen to where I photograph my recipes (on the
far end of the house and down two flights
of stairs in the basement) had me feeling like I'd just run a marathon and climbed the Empire State Building!
As
further incentive to inspire you all to get into the
kitchen and try out some
of these new recipes and to really start incorporating more vegetables into your diet, I thought it would be a fun idea to run a competition at the
end of it all, so stay tuned for more details over the next few days:)
At the
far end of the space, wicker - backed stools at the breakfast bar tempt guests into the fully equipped open
kitchen.
The villa's main living pavilion lies at the
far end and houses the master suite and one
of the guest bedrooms as well as the elegant living and dining areas, TV lounge and superb modern fitted
kitchen.
At the
far end of the dining room is an open - plan, fully equipped, features a
kitchen with marble work tops, a central island, stylish white cupboards and stainless steel appliances.
After all, there are few areas that are really «denied» to men, if the level
of operations demanded be transcendent, responsible or rewarding enough: men who have a need for «feminine» involvement with babies or children gain status as pediatricians or child psychologists, with a nurse (female) to do the more routine work; those who feel the urge for
kitchen creativity may gain fame as master chefs; and,
of course, men who yearn to fulfill themselves through what are often termed «feminine» artistic interests can find themselves as painters or sculptors, rather than as volunteer museum aides or part time ceramists, as their female counterparts so often
end up doing; as
far as scholarship is concerned, how many men would be willing to change their jobs as teachers and researchers for those
of unpaid, part - time research assistants and typists as well as full - time nannies and domestic workers?
There is a lounge area with day - bed, a fully featured
kitchen, washing machine, bathroom, sleeping loft and down the
far end of the home even a nursery for their new - born baby.
Down the hall, two
further double bedrooms each feature en suite shower rooms and at the
end of the building there is a sizable living space, currently used as a study, with, beyond it, a garden room currently kitted out as a second
kitchen.
Anyway, it has become fairly popular as a
kitchen reveal post so I went ahead and added the prices for everything we have done so
far in the
kitchen to the
end of the post.)
It sort
of reminded me
of the chunk
of glass - doored upper cabinets that used to hang at the
far end of Tommy and Shelley's old
kitchen:
To define the dining area from the
kitchen beyond, the
end wall has been painted a deeper shade
of lilac to the rest
of the room, and lilac touches, such as a rug and striped table runner, help to
further define the eating zone.
The blue furniture in the
kitchen and
further through the
kitchen in the dining area at the
end of the photo are fabulous.
