There's the BlinkFeed social media hub, accessed by swiping to
the far left of the home screen, but that's about it.
To
the far left of the home screens you'll find a new Shelf feature (see video for example) that will display your frequent apps, contacts and is even customizable to show mini widgets which don't necessarily fit properly all of the time but will work in a pinch.

home screen shows a thumbnail your
of latest book, magazine, or newspaper and how
far into it you are; you can tap it to quickly resume reading the book where you
left off.

of the actual feed are lacking in Taboola's press release, which you can link to at the bottom
of this story, but from the pictures provided, it looks as if a widget and a dedicated
home screen pane (where the Google feed would be at
farthest left) will be involved.

Shelf is an excellent productivity tool that sits in the
far left window
of your
home screen.
