Faster cooking veggies (peas and greens) can be added 20 to 30 minutes before the dish is finished cooking.
I will test a carrot, and when it is about halfway done cooking, I will add the other

cook during the hotter parts of the day, make it go a bit
faster by cutting
veggies into small pieces or
cooking things that don't take too long, like eggs on the stovetop or
veggies that can be quickly steamed.
