Eat — stop — eat: this method involves a 24h
fast once to twice a
week, usually from dinner
on day one until dinner
on day two.
Fortunately we went during a slow
week, so we didn't have any problems finding chairs by the pools, but
on our last
day (Friday), it was MUCH more crowded and chairs filled up

The younger you are, the
faster you heal: an 8 - year - old who sprains his ankle during a soccer game might be back

fast you choose — some people

As you can see, you only workout 4 times per
week to gain muscle
fast on this schedule rather than 6
days per

day basis, or more recently a 5:2 strategy has been developed, where 2
days each
week are classed as «
fasting days» (with < 600 calories consumed for men, < 500 for women).
On long
fasts (I do warrior diet five times a
week and two
days where I don't eat at all to resume eating the next
day after five pm) I supplement with a tablespoon of psyllium husk powder in water every six waking hours or so.
How I plan a
week: The format I generally use for total body training would include a lower body workout like this with a light ab circuit
on Day 1, an upper body workout
on Day 2 as well as a
fast bodyweight circuit, another leg circuit
on Day 3 with a core workout, and a final upper body circuit
on Day 4 with a
fast bodyweight circuit.
In another similar study, at Baylor University (Waco, Texas) found that
fasting on alternating
days of 3 to 12
weeks in duration, decreased both bodyweight and body fat.
Compared to ad libitum fed controls, rodents maintained
on IER (100 % ER / alternate
days) for periods of 12 to 24
weeks typically exhibit lower post-treatment levels of
fasting glucose 14, 16, 17, 29 and insulin.16, 17, 29 Using this particular IER protocol, Jiang et al28 have also demonstrated an increase in oral glucose tolerance and tissue insulin sensitivity (measured using a hyperinsulinemic - euglycemic clamp) after four
weeks in healthy rats.
After three
weeks of IER however, a separate study noted a reduction in fat - mass, which suggests that unlike in the rodent studies mentioned previously, humans may be unable to fully compensate for energy deficits incurred
on fast days with increasing durations.

I know that nutrition is key with losing body fat and I eat relatively well, most of the time anyway my problem is, I have put
on a lot of unwanted bodyfat by not eating «clean» during my bulking up phase, I'm now a lot bigger than I would like and am going to start doing
fasting training two / three times a

days I am training weights I already do 10/15 HIT training followed by a
fast paced uphill walk, would this help me achieve my goals?

I follow a low carb diet and it has helped me drop a lot of my visceral fat, I am a pescatarian eating salmon maybe 1 - 2
days a
week max the rest of the time I am
on a vegan diet (excluding breads and grains) I also do not consume sugar and reduce fruit to 2 - 3 servings, I consume slow carbs as beans but always at night when your body can tolerate carbs better, and I eat tons of greens I supplement with algea oil, B12, and Magnesium I do bulletproof coffee (with coconut oil) no butter and intermittent
fast and eat in a 7 hour window, I just wish Dr Greger could do a video
on the effects of a low carb, 95 % plant based diet.
Intervals, HIT or anything
on a level 7

fastest but any high intensity workout should only be done 3 - to - 4 times a
week 1 - to - 2 times a
