just used wheat, low carb tortillas and low
fat cheese.
It's very similar to this Weight Watchers friendly version if you
just substitute canned
fat free evaporated milk for the cream and less reduced
fat cheese for the sharp cheddar...
But then I like to have some toppings and things that... And that's where some of the
fat and salt are because it's
just like a garnish; it's not that... the whole food is laden with oil and salt and that's where this
cheese is wonderful.
Since this
cheese is meant to be used as toppings or fillings, I
just guessed at 6 servings, but obviously this will vary depending on how you use it: 206 calories 17.7 g
fat 7.4 g protein 8.1 g carbs 4.5 g fiber 1.8 g sugar 291 mg sodium
But it's a good kind of
fat — the kind of
fat that comes from knowing you've
just ingested one of life's real pleasures: this flavorful, spicy macaroni and
cheese adorned with onions, peppers, corn... and delicious creamy Pepper Jack
cheese.
This lightened up Broccoli
Cheese Casserole is light on calories but
just as yummy as any full
fat version I've had in the past.
I also substituted the heavy ricotta
cheese with low -
fat cottage
cheese and kept the mozzarella to a minimum —
just a skosh in the filling and a bit sprinkled on top.
This recipe comes to
just over 400 calories for a huge half a squash serving, or half that if you serve it as a side for 4 (using low
fat cream
cheese and 1 % milk) assuming the whole squash is 6 - 7 cups of squash.

fat by cooking it in some water a few minutes, I use a skillet with an inch of water and boil the
fat off, set it aside to cool so I can handle it, the bacon then cooks evenly with the chicken, cooking time is cut by 10 - 15 min so chicken is moist...

French dressing smashes things up with 88 calories in each tablespoon, and Ranch crashes the party with 140, and if you go with the Blue
Cheese dressing from Carl's Jr. you should
just stay home because it's 320 calories per serving with almost all of them coming from
fat.

Without sacrificing the fabulous ricotta
cheese (I used a delicious
fat free ricotta from Trader Joe's) and mozzarella
cheese (a reduced
fat shredded mozzarella), and also by making a few healthier substitutions, you get a very nicely sized piece of lasagna for

just made this with Sun Dried Tomato Mozzarella Laughing Cow and substituted the cheddar

cheese sources, such as laughing cow light, alpine lace and Jarlsberg lite, but unfortunately at the end of the day nothing really taste the same, so live a little... well
just a little, 1 oz every now and then to be precise.
I tweaked the polenta a wee bit
just because of what was available in fridge... carmelized some sweet onion and added baby lima beans with the corn... then finished with low
fat cream
cheese for the marscapone... a wee bit of fresh parm as well.
