If you don't care
for fat free cream cheese, try using whipped cream cheese, reduced fat cream cheese, Neufchatel cheese, or vegan cream cheese.
That creamy dreamy frosting is a combo
of fat free cream cheese, protein powder, Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa, Pyure Organic Stevia Blend, and vanilla extract.
And quite easy to prepare and low in fat too (if you stick with low - fat or
fat free cream cheese).
For lower calories, use splenda instead of powdered sugar and get
a fat free cream cheese... Still tastes good!!!
Also, for a slightly less guilty version, I sauted the onions / garlic in a garlic olive oil instead of butter, used reduced fat milk instead of whole, and used
a fat free cream cheese and it tasted just as rich and heavenly!
And with an half a head of cauliflower left after making the Caprese Pizza with Cauliflower Crust I thought I would substitute the chicken with cauliflower rice and use low fat or
fat free cream cheese, plain Greek yogurt and some spices.
(Plus 1 P + for my syrup) If i had
fat free cream cheese it would only be 4P + for the whole recipe!
Fat free cream cheese is loaded with sugar and fillers... yuck!
I used greek yogurt instead of sour cream, and
fat free cream cheese.
I did make a few changes... I used 99 % fat free ground turkey for the ground beef,
fat free cream cheese for the 1/3 reduced fat cream cheese (couldn't tell the difference), and added sautéed vegetables (1/2 red onion, 1/2 red pepper, small yellow squash, small zucchini.
While they're in the oven or even while they're cooling after the oven you can make a really quick cream cheese frosting for them by mixing together 2 tablespoons or 66 grams of
a fat free cream cheese, 1/4 container of fat free vanilla Greek yogurt, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
For the cream cheese protein frosting, I used
fat free cream cheese, Jamie Eason Lean Body for Her Whey Protein Isolate in Natural Vanilla (any vanilla protein should work), Pyure Organic Stevia Blend, unsweetened cashew milk (or milk of choice), and pure vanilla extract.
I used 1 c all purpose flour and 1 c whole wheat, and light butter and
fat free cream cheese (because I'm trying to eat lighter), they turned out fantastic!
