One of my
favorite prebiotic - probiotic combos is
coconut water kefir (grab the recipe below), which is both a delicious carbonated beverage and a tonic to balance your gut ecosystem.
Fermented drinks that contain probiotics include
coconut water kefir (Inner - Eco is my
favorite), kvass, kombucha, and apple cider vinegar drinks.
Serve with
kefir (dairy or
coconut water) smoothie made with
favorite fruit,
coconut oil and a cucumber blended in.
My
favorite probiotic rich cultured foods are: Jun tea, (directions for making Jun & why I love it here), raw fermented sauerkraut and cultured veggies like carrots, beets, & ginger, Kevita sugar - free
kefir made from fermented
coconut water, and goat milk
kefir (which I love in this no - churn goat
kefir ice cream recipe).
My
favorite ferments include cultured vegetables like raw kraut (I like Farmhouse Cultures because I'm too lazy to make my own);
coconut water kefir; miso paste; pickles; kimchi; and beet kvass.

Some of my
favorite fermented foods that are keto friendly include pickles, sauerkraut, kimchi, and

If you notice a preference for ONLY bready foods or sweets — or if there are many objections to smells and texture — you may want to start adding
coconut water kefir (you can pick it up at Whole Foods or make your own) to a
favorite juice.
