comedies of all - time (now, granted that's not a huge list, but this is still a huge surprise given the material and my film preferences).
1942's Fly - By - Night is an everything - including - the - kitchen - sink brew of
romantic comedy, espionage, Keystone Kop - style shenanigans, screwball dialogue, medical mystery and Hitchcock's
favorite theme of the wrongly accused man.
The movie follows the traditional
romantic comedy path of two best friends finding out that they are compatible lovers, which is fine since many of my
favorite films follow this similar path.
