Kurdish woman Meryl, 27, from London — who did not want to give her surname for
fear of reprisals when she visits Turkey — was
among scores
of pro-Kurdish protesters outside Downing Street ahead
of Mr Erdogan's arrival.
A survey by Inbar and Lammers on Political Diversity in Social and Personal Psychology found only 6 % who identified as conservative, that respondents significantly underestimated the proportion
of conservatives
among them and that conservatives
feared revealing their political thoughts for
fear of reprisal,
of which the study concluded conservatives had good reason for this
fear.
