Representing more than 60 local, regional,
and national artists in a variety of mediums
featuring steel
and copper sculpture; hand blown glass art,

oil and watercolor canvas; mosaics, handcrafted crystal, seaglass, glass,
and silver jewelry.
During June, Gallery Underground also
features a new exhibit of members» work in the Main Gallery, including sculpture, glass, ceramics, watercolor,

The works in both
acrylic and oil feature fresh -
and saltwater shorelines from around the country.
Featured are 50 pieces which make up two complementary bodies of work: recent paintings (most from 2008 to 2009)
and drawings (created from 1979 to 1982 made on different types of paper
and diverse media, including pencil, ink, watercolor,
acrylic and oil chalk).
In the photos from Associations New, only a handful of them
feature the credited work of individual arists, including Charlotte Herzig «s «Landscape, the sun is actually red» (2014)
and Henning Strassburger «s «o.T» (2014), that yells «LOOK WHAT I PAINT» in black scrawl through the lurid pink
and black noise of
oil and acrylic.
The paintings, works on paper, mixed - media collages,
and photographs
feature a number of purchases, including Audrey Flack's large
oil and acrylic canvas, World War II (Vanitas); two elaborate mixed - media collages by Mickalene Thomas; textile artist Sonya Clark's Unraveling; photographs of performance artist Cassils» Becoming an Image; photographs related to Leah Modigliani's Morris Gallery exhibition The City in her Desolation;
and works on paper by Fernando Orellana.
Kathleen Best Gillmann's Vision at Water's Edge
features acrylic and oil paintings of shorelines
and coastal regions throughout the US.
Daily Commute will
feature works in multiple mediums, including spray paint,
oil,
acrylic,
and ground pumice, often all used within the context of a single painting.
Other important works
featured in A Walk on the Beach include Jim Dine's rendering of conch shells in
oil,
acrylic, charcoal,
and pastel on canvas
and paper, Key West Picture (1981)
and his bronze sculpture from 1983, The Shell
and the Log, where the log becomes both part of the work
and the pedestal for a bronze conch shell.
In addition to plastic, the artworks
featured include ceramics, videos, photography,
oil and acrylic on canvas
and paper, woven
and knitted textile, wood, tape, found objects.
Art Space 98, a new gallery located at 98 Newtown Lane in East Hampton, is proud to present its inaugural exhibition: People
and Lost Traces

Made of

features a new exhibit of members» work in the Main Gallery, including sculpture, glass, ceramics, watercolor,

Elizabeth Osborne: The Sixties — on view at the Delaware Art Museum from October 8, 2016 - January 8, 2017 —
features 12
oil and acrylic paintings with found objects produced between 1962
and 1966.
In the former, Snyder has built up her
oil and acrylic on canvas with paper mache, fabric, pastel, graphite, glitter, dirt,
and straw, resulting in a three - dimensional impastoed surface that begs to be touched,
and that
features the word «requiem» (twice) in red paint
and glitter; the latter
features an all - over composition with lusciously applied pastel - colored paint in big, sweeping gestures, combined with repetitive circular
and floral forms.
The main gallery
features Lee's recent ballpoint ink works on canvas
and acrylic and oil paintings that display Lee's signature ability to create a massive single form through the overlay of thousands of lines.
The 10th birthday of Artists» Showplace Gallery will be commemorated throughout the month of December with a gallery show
featuring unique works of all 17 of the gallery partners in mediums that include watercolor,

The work Esther, Maiden of Mesa Verde is an
oil and acrylic on photo collage that contains a handwritten postcard addressed to Foulkes» Highland Park address,
featuring a photograph of a rock formation seemingly layered atop the postcard of what is likely one of the Colorado boulders.

and watercolor by Gustavus Adolphus College faculty artist Betsy Ruth Byers, who joined the College's art
and art history department in 2011.
At the time of the exhibition, titled John Seery, the Garboushian Gallery was still fairly new
and while most of Seery's earlier works were done using
acrylic paint, the artist took to using
oil paint for his new works that
featured at the 2010 exhibition.
