Feature award, while Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul's «Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His
Past Lives» — a runner - up for Best Picture — was named Best Foreign - Language Film.
The beginning of the Oscars telecast, Jimmy Kimmel's introductory bit about the old Hollywood giving way to the new,
featured a symbolic transformation: the Hollywood of the
past — black and white, but so deeply monochromatic — transitioning, just as the 90th Academy
Awards ceremony began, to a depiction in full and vibrant color.

Awards.
While the
past two months have
featured several potential
award contenders, there's a surprising lack of prestige films on the November release slate.
Five of the
past six winners of the Spirit
Award for best
feature have gone on to win the Oscar, including relative upstarts «Moonlight» and «Spotlight,» after many years of diverging from the Academy.
Production took place at the very beginning of the year with major thumbs up support from Tribeca Film Festival where the film (not yet finished) landed the IWC Filmmaker

The annual Video Game
Awards show is only a month away and it's known as a venue that typically
features exclusive reveals and other announcements, so it's entirely likely that Warner Bros could opt to finally reveal what the studio has been working on over these
past few years there.
We're expecting Ronaldo to be one of the highest - rated players in the game since FIFA
featured him on the cover, and he's won so many
awards in the
past year, including the FIFA World Player of the Year
Award.
