The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Dietetic Association say to NOT
feed any baby milk,
cheese, or any
dairy products that are raw (have not been pasteurized).
Although it's OK to give your child
dairy products like yogurt and
cheese made from cow's milk, do not
feed cow's milk itself to your baby until s / he is one year old.
Some infants may have a sensitivity to
dairy proteins, so if you're breastfeeding, avoid eating milk,
cheese, and butter for a week, and if you're bottle -
feeding, try giving your child a soy - based formula.
Try to get organic / grass -
fed animal products whenever you can, including
cheeses, eggs, other
dairy products, and animal meats of all kinds.
As we learned in earlier chapters,
dairy doesn't work for most people, so I recommend avoiding it, except for the occasional yogurt, kefir, grass -
fed butter, ghee, and even
cheese if it doesn't cause any problems for you.
Dairy (Note: I reintroduced in this order: grass -
fed butter; raw goat yogurt or kefir; raw goat milk; raw goat
cheese; raw cow cream; raw cow yogurt or kefir; raw cow milk; raw cow
cheese.

We are able to buy raw
cheese, which we do, and all of the
dairy we buy is from grass -
fed cows.
Also, realize that we're talking about benefits from the fat portion of the
dairy specifically here (yes, the cream and butterfat), so this means FULL - FAT grass -
fed dairy is where the benefits will come from and NOT all of these silly skim, 0 %, or 1 % reduced - fat varieties of yogurts,
cheeses, etc..
Although, as consumer awareness is increasing about the benefits of grass -
fed dairy in the US, I've noticed that more and more US brands are offering grass -
fed yogurt,
cheeses, butter, cream, and kefir from small family farm operations that truly allow the cows to freely roam and forage on grass and herbs.
Specific
cheeses like Gouda or Brie for example, even from
dairy which is not grass
fed, will contain some vitamin K2.
I would also ferment the
dairy occasionally into raw yogurt or raw kefir and also only consume unpasteurized grass
fed cheeses.
Healthy fats include avocado, butter,
dairy, coconut oil, unheated nut oils, raw seeds and nuts, eggs,
cheese, and grass -
fed meat.

dairy and are able to digest and absorb the nutrients.
Considering the amount of omelets, raw
