To address this shortcoming, we are building an intervention —
Feedback on Alignment and Support for Teaching (FAST)-- which will soon provide real time feedback to teachers on the alignment of their instruction for students, including ELLs and SWDs, to college - and career - readiness standards, and support so that teachers can take corrective action where appropriate.
The third project is
the Feedback on Alignment and Support for Teachers (FAST) intervention study, in which we are building an original intervention designed to assist teachers in providing instruction aligned to their state's standards.
Toni Smith at AIR is leading our efforts to build a program that supports teachers in high - quality instruction well aligned to the new and challenging standards, called
the Feedback on Alignment and Support for Teachers (FAST) program.
Furthermore, tests should be created with the input of classroom teachers throughout the design process, from start to finish, to actively solicit
our feedback on alignment, bias, and logistics.

alignment, consistency, and transparency across all of these stakeholders
on what should be observed, what quality teaching looks like, and how
feedback reaches not only the teacher but the network - support leaders, we are missing out
on an opportunity to increase the impact
on our students.
