You feel nervous about Baby Led Weaning but do not know how to
feed your baby purees without getting stuck on them.
But if you want to
feed your baby purees, that is fine as well!
One important thing to remember:
feeding your baby pureed fruit is not the same as giving them juice.

fed 10 % or less of their
baby's food.

feed my 7 month old cerelac with wheat and cerelac with fruits and he eats plain yoghurt flavoured with
baby pureed fruits and that's fine with him no allergies or strange reactions so cerelac I'd fine as long as its not with honey.

From my experiences I can tell you that yes,
puree fed babies get more food down them, but then they drink less milk (and milk contains far more micro nutrients, vitamins and minerals per calorie than most food - particularly food such as
baby rice, which is mostly starch) they are also more prone to dehydration and constipation, as their fluid intake can be inadequate.

It drives me a little nuts that it seems the only options most parents feel they have for introducing solids are
Baby Led Weaning (BLW) or months of spoon -
feeding their
babies mushy
purees.
In her toddler book, she advocates the use of the «holding technique» to restrain kids and teach them not to touch things (there's a video on youtube of her demonstrating this) and thinks
babies should only be
fed purees until they are 12 months, then mashed food, then only real food at approx 24 months old and thinks BLW is «inappropriate.»

baby who is eating soft diced foods as beginner foods may seem to eat less than the
baby who is being spoon -
fed purees.
He's currently still on 5 breastfeeds a day (plus 2 nights
feeds * sob *) and is having
baby porridge for breakfast and some kind of homemade
puree for his tea.

feed themselves, so if you choose to, you can offer them soft finger food rather than
pureed food from the get - go.

pureed food, but that method is missing fat to keep things lubricated.
If your
baby is truly ready for solids he will be able to experiment with
feeding himself with very small chunks of soft foods, as well as any mashed or
pureed foods you will
feed him.
Freezer: Freeze
pureed baby food in single - serve portions so that it can be heated and safely
fed to your
baby.
Whether you choose to stick strictly to
baby led weaning, work with
purees and spoon
feeding only, or combine the two, it's important to make a decision that meshes well with your lifestyle, the way you're raising your
baby, and your child's preferences too.
