The climbing, long - range combat and the
level design (
at least, within linear spaces, less so the truly open ones)
feels much more Tomb Raider than Far Cry or Assassin's Creed.
A few elements, like the infrequent fisticuffs or sword - wielding sections,
feel a little shoehorned in just to introduce new gestures, but they do
at least serve their purpose in breaking up the action... even if they're hardly captivating on a gameplay
level.
While
leveling at least the game doesn't
feel like a chore and it doesn't take several seconds just to kill basic enemies.
The

at least wildly creative in the areas and locales it puts you in, to the point where no act
feels like another.
The biggest change to the FDS / NES version is that it alters the
levels — there are 12 instead of 8, and each has its own original design, so
at least it
feels a little less repetitive.
Resident Evil 7 is pretty linear, but that re-use of
levels means it doesn't
feel too linear,
at least until it reaches its final, crescendo stages.
The tools don't
feel watered down and if the
