Only when you hold the phone and
feel its textured plastic backing, especially when you notice how easily the backing picks up smudges, do you really get a sense that this is a budget device.

felt to shiny
plastic panels and cookie dough platforms, benefit more than anything from Nintendo's new found fondness for HD.
The E4 is indeed made of
plastic, but the slightly
textured removable back doesn't

texture that should give it a much nicer
feel than the basic, slick
plastic on last year's model.
The metallic buttons on the OnePlus X comes with a ridged

feel much better than the
plastic buttons of the Nexus 5X.
The
plastic back still has a
textured pattern on it, but it
feels different from the Moto G3 and more subtle.
With its faux leather backing and metal frame, the Galaxy Note 4 isn't an unattractive device by any means either, but the switch to the new build material with the Galaxy Note 5 gives it a more premium look, and the latter also
feels more substantial in the hand, when compared to the
plastic leather
texture found with the former.
In fact, despite the body technically being made out of
plastic, it has a fantastic
texture and premium
feel that Samsung never managed to capture in their
plastic - body devices.
What's more, the back cover — like the Galaxy Note 4 — is a
plastic finished with a leather - like
texture and covered in a smooth paint for a great in - hand
feel.
And while the Grand 2 looks the same from a distance, it doesn't
feel like leather at all — it's just
textured plastic.
