Significant morale problems exist
among segments of the presbyterate who
feel closed off from the decision - making process, and
failures in catechesis, perhaps to be expected in the wake of a world - shaking event
like Vatican II, have left vast portions of the laity barely literate in the fundamentals of the faith.
