I must agree that this old cocker spaniel had underlying health problems - and if she needed to be muzzled
than obviously she was
feeling alot of anxiety to begin with -LCB- dogs become anxious because they're being left by thier owners, taken away by strange people that they do nt know, and placed in a loud, stressful enviroment with other
barking dogs.
Don't
feel discouraged if, during the first 3 or 4 training sessions, she's busier
barking than taking the food.
We
felt strongly that being home in their familiar environment would be far less stressful for them
than encountering the many strangers along with the din of their
barking dogs and nervous cats at a shelter.
