As most people know from experience, the solar plexus is that area just
below the
rib cage which, if hit just right, can cause you to
feel as if you've had the wind — as well as the rain, the snow, and at least one kidney — knocked out of you.
If you
feel a warming or slight burning sensation in the stomach (that's just
below your left
ribs not near your navel) that's a sign that your stomach is acidic enough and you can back down to a smaller amount or skip it altogether.
The pain or
feeling tends to be focused either in the center of the chest or just
below the center of the
rib cage, but it can spread to the arms, abdomen, neck, lower jaw or neck.
