Soaring over a throng of males who immediately inflate their throats like red balloons to show off their virility, a female frigatebird lands next to the one with the biggest and reddest throat and offers him her companionship.
North Seymour is the nesting site for a large population of magnificent frigatebirds and the only place where we can always find males showing their red pouches to attract females.
