Kefir is cultured milk,
fermented with kefir grains.
In fact, in his fascinating work Wild Fermentation, Sandor Katz explains that virtually any fruit or vegetable juice, including nut milks, can be
fermented with kefir grains although the grains won't reproduce as rapidly as they do in milk.
We changed to straight kefir,
fermented with kefir grains, and he is doing very well now.
Another popular type of «milk» to
ferment with kefir grains is coconut milk.

with the fresh fruit in it, straining out the
kefir grains (set them aside) filling the jar to a 1/2 inch from the top.
For those of you that aren't familiar
with kefir, it's a
fermented milk drink that's made by adding some
kefir grains to whole milk and letting it
ferment at room temperature for about a day.

with simple steps by repopulating your gut flora

I just
fermented some milk much too quickly, it separated, and because I have only just started, I got in a panic and did nt know if I could differentiate between the «cottage cheese» type lumps and the
kefir grains, someone told me to look for them
