VICTORIA — The B.C. Liberal government has ignored the pleas of thousands of British Columbians and announced it will go ahead with reckless
ferry service cuts that will hurt the province's economy and seriously impact coastal communities.
In the legislature, Trevena and fellow New Democrats pressed the B.C. Liberals for answers after an economic impact study by the City of Prince Rupert found that the government's
ferry service cuts could cause «serious and widespread damage to the northern B.C. economy.»

The M5 bus route, which was previously one of the city's longest routes and stretched from Washington Heights to South
Ferry, was
cut into two sections at 38th Street to speed up
service in January.
The new
ferry service from Kitsap Transit will
cut the one - way trip time between Seattle and Bremerton in half, to around 30 minutes.
He said that, despite setbacks after the 2002 and 2005 terrorist attacks in Bali, Gili Air's popularity had grown steadily until about seven years ago, when a handful of
ferry operators introduced «fast boat»
service to the islands,
cutting travel time from Bali roughly in half.
