YA

few years — what is it about the YA fantasy genre that really appeals to you as an
author?
There are
few writers as prolific as T.C. Boyle who consistently produce such high - quality and varied work — he is the
author of 24 books
of fiction and has been the recipient
of several literary awards, including the PEN / Faulkner — so it's both unsurprising and exciting to receive news
of upcoming novels.
Very
few purely literary novels sell — and most
of those are by
authors who have published scores
of exquisitely crafted short
fiction pieces in prestigious journals and / or have endowed chairs at major universities.
They may inspire you to make the most
of short
fiction;
few authors do, so there's a real opportunity here.
While several
of the
authors on this list write in various genres — from romantic comedies to literary
fiction — Hutchins is one
of the
few who also has non-
fiction titles to her credit.
A
few of their
authors have turned into celebrities and have their fan -
fiction and narratives optioned for movies.
The
