There are a
few ways you can try to help sooth your
baby:
swaddling, rocking them back and forth in your arms, applying pressure to their tummy, or even having white noise in the background.
If you swear by
swaddling, like I do, add a
few swaddle blankets in classic prints to your
baby registry.
A little

few figure 8 swings on the side and
baby was out like a light.
In the weeks leading up to the birth we made regular trips to our local
Baby Bunting store and what started innocently as a trip to «just pick up a
few swaddles,» turns into an all out shopping spree where everything in the store becomes a necessity.

Swaddling is one of the
few things we've found to help
babies sleep better, especially when they're sleeping on their backs.

baby food prep devices, a

I wanted to say we had a blanket given to us when we had our second
baby, it was matching with the sleeper, and made out of the same fabric, I would say it was jersey - like... it had that kind of stretch to it... I didn't use it until we ran out of the
few blankets we had that were actually big enough for
swaddling, and it was the only one I used since!
A
few things the American Academy of Pediatrics suggests:
swaddling baby, applying firm pressure to her tummy, changing your diet if you're nursing in case there's a food sensitivity or gas, offering a pacifier, holding
baby, running a hair dryer or other noise - maker that might remind her of sounds in the womb, etc..
Swaddle Wrap You don't want to put a blanket of any kind in a crib — even a receiving blanket (a very thin blanket typically made of woven cotton) unless you're
swaddling a
baby, which is usually done for just the first
few weeks.
I do very
few «posed» photos when I am snappin» newborns... which are really limited to
swaddling baby and putting her in a basket.
If you are
swaddling your
baby, the sleeping bag will only be useful for a relatively short
few months (between when your
baby no longer stays
swaddled, and when they outgrow the sleeping bag).
Chances are, within a
few nights, your
baby will enjoy being able to move around freely, and the
swaddle will be a distant memory!

few months but you know, that's why it's really good to
swaddle newborn
babies when they're trying to sleep because they startle with like loud noises or a change on the temperature on the room or just because for no reason.
You may need to combine some of these alternatives to
swaddling or try a
few to find what works best for your
baby.

few burp cloths are likely the only other
baby essentials you'll need in the hospital.
