a few calls for submissions from two writing blogs I liked: Writer Unboxed and Write it Sideways.

The first knowledge source (a long - time PO who I will hereafter refer to as KS1,
for «knowledgeable source # 1») assumed that you must have
called at a bad time, within a
few weeks of a
submission deadline.

few years back, Canada's foreign film
submission for the Oscars was a movie
called Felix et Meira.

few months ago, they had an open
submissions call and I submitted a manuscript of mine thinking they were looking
for authors.
Those
few journals that
call for the citations in article
submissions to be formatted in ALWD style and state rules of procedure (like those in Alabama and Idaho) that specify ALWD style as a Bluebook alternative have been rendered dead letter.
