Not all traps are created equal and there's more to trapping community cats than simply putting out traps and
a few cans of tuna.

My pantry is always packed full
of canned goods like chicken broth, diced tomatoes,
tuna, a
few types
of beans, and corn just to name a
few.
A
few blocks
of Idiazabal cheese, over a dozen large
cans of tuna in olive oil, jars
of cooked beans, spices, recycled yogurt containers and a large bag
of freeze - dried raspberry powder.
I knew we still had a
few potatoes left from the CSA box, and when I spotted a
can of tuna, something clicked in my mind and I remembered a recipe from Mexican Everyday by Rick Bayless that I had been wanting to try.

of the most widely consumed fish in the world and the good news is that it
can be highly beneficial for people who want to lose a
few inches off their waistline.
Every 3 ounces
of tuna canned in water has around 22 grams
of protein and less than 1 gram
of fat, so it's safe to enjoy
tuna a
few times a week.
You
can find more than 500 mg in a
can of tuna or a
few ounces
of salmon.
All that's left for me to do is throw a good source
of protein on the side, such as grilled chicken, a juicy beef patty, a
few tasty meatballs, some delicious braised meat, a
few slices
of leftover roast, a handful
of cooked shrimp, a piece
of grilled salmon, some scotch eggs (or even plain hard boiled eggs) or, if I'm really in a pinch (or caught completely unprepared)
canned tuna fish.
And really, nothing could be more simple than opening a
can or pouch
of tuna, adding a
few ingredients and serving it on top
of a green salad or whole grain bread.
For a delicious low - cal pasta, simmer a large
can of Italian plum tomatoes with a
can of light
tuna, minced garlic, a pinch
of dried red pepper flakes, and a
few minced anchovies for a
few minutes.
Fish is a great source
of protein, but there are a

of human - grade
canned tuna can cause health problems for your cat.
You
can also add a

of tuna broth or even chicken broth into your cat's water bowl.
