of cardamon spice and 1/8 tsp cinnamon, add maple syrup to sweeten qand
a few chopped walnuts!!!

Taste the batter, adding more maple syrup or a
few drops of stevia if need be, then stir in most of the
chopped walnuts, reserving a handful.
- While the cake is still warm, combine the remainder of the reserved apple juice (roughly 1/2 cup) with the 2 tablespoons of brown sugar in a small sauce pan, and allow it to very gently simmer for a

I toasted the
chopped walnuts (a
few minutes over medium - high heat in a dry cast iron skillet does the trick) but that step is optional.
I have a
few favourites, but a quick one is to cut the fresh fig into quarters, not going all the way through, drizzle with the honey / orange liquid then place a square of Gorgonzola (my favourite) into the middle and roast in the oven along with some
chopped walnuts.
Top with
few walnuts,
few chopped strawberries,
few mint leaves and cacao beans.
Arrange in two bowls or on a platter - I finished off this version topped with sliced green onions, a bit of sauteed slivered rainbow chard leaves &
chopped stems, a
few toasted
walnuts, and some chives.

If you want more sweetness, perhaps adding a
few chopped dates or even raisins in with the
walnuts could help.

walnuts and
chop a
few candied orange rinds from your citrus sugar jar onto my Stollen dough.
