A proper storage bag should just accommodate enough milk for
a few feeding sessions so that you will not need to throw out any milk.
This may not be too serious if the baby is fed the milk for just
a few feeding sessions.
Not exact matches
Consider adding a
few extra pumping
sessions throughout the day between
feedings or normal pumping
sessions, but only pump the slacker boob for these
sessions.
If you normally
feed your baby at the breast while at home, you can add in a
few pumping
sessions in between
feeding sessions to, again, signal your body to make more milk.
Feed for
fewer minutes and less often: Cut the
feeding time by about three minutes per
session and stretch out the time between
sessions by 30 - 60 minutes or more approximately every week.
Both types of weaning can usually be done by replacing one
feeding session per day with cow's milk and giving your child a
few days in between to adjust.
When one formula
feed of serving of solid foods works well and you observe no reaction from your breasts or your baby (including constipation or tummy pain), you may proceed to replace another breastfeeding
session within a
few days.
Cluster
feeding means several nursing or bottle -
feeding sessions within a
few hours.
If you have been breastfeeding with just one breast during the first
few weeks, your baby may now prefer to use both sides during some of her
feeding sessions.
If baby still dozes off at the breast before finishing
feedings, then try the switch
feeding method where you switch breasts a
few times during each
session to keep baby alert.
Start again, this time making some brushing
sessions a
few seconds longer before you
feed / release.

few treats and stop the
session.
