Do you think that
few leaves of kale would be a good substitute for bok choy?
One evening, I found myself with a near empty fridge save for some scraps of gluten - free pie dough,
a few leaves of kale, half an onion, a lonely sweet potato, and approximately 10 pounds of cheese.

In my regular groceries, I add a head
of broccoli, take 1/4
of cauliflower from a head cauliflower I buy for cauliflower - curry, 2 - 3 carrots, and
few leaves of curly
kale make a lot
of salad.
Reserve about 1 - 2 tablespoon
of the dressing for drizzling and pour the rest over the
kale and with your hands massaged it for
few minutes until the
leaves start to wilt slightly.
I will take a
few commenters» advice and do it in the slow cooker (can't trust myself not to burn the meat) and «Scotify» it with a side
of kolrhabi slaw and maybe trying it in a steamed
kale leaf (as well as in a corn tortilla — we're not completely bonkers).
One pound
of shank cross — cut was quite enough with plenty
of vegetables (3 carrots, 1 parsley root, 1/2 celery root, 1 kohlrabi, 1 onion (halved),
few kale leaves, 1 tsp tomato pure, salt and black pepper to taste) slowly and gently boiling in 12 cups
of water for 3 hours made a beautiful «bouillon «easily turned into healing, comforting, boosting soup once strained and combined with favourite noodles.
I make coconut curry
kale chips by blending coconut meat with the water, a
few fresh kaffir lime
leaves, a TBSP
of nutritional yeast, and some curry together and then coating the
Kale leaves before I bake.
This package is filled with 19 organic superfoods such as spirulina,
kale, spinach, sea kelp, chlorella, aloe vera
leaf, broccoli and dulse (which is like seaweed but with more fiber and protein) and a antioxidant complex consisting
of: reishi mushroom, ginger root, turmeric, raspberry, blueberry and pineapple — just to name a
few.
I also added way more
kale — a whole bunch instead
of a
few leaves.
Next time, I'm going to use romaine and a
few kale leaves for part
of the spinach, so I guess I'll have V9 juice then.
I just made with some changes... spinach for
kale, because that's the green I had on hand, shaved parmesan for pecorino, one piece
of bread, and a
few marcona almonds finely chopped, roasted chickpeas and roasted cubed butternut squash (because I had some
left over from the pumpkin feta muffins although the dynamic
of the salad was a little different, it was delicious.
I add a
leaf of kale for an extra kick, a
few chia seeds too.
Dress the
kale leaves in a
few tablespoons
of the dressing and begin to massage.
The beautiful
leaves of the
kale plant provide an earthy flavor and more nutritional value for
fewer calories than almost any other food around.
If the
kale is really tough, you can
leave the heat on for a while and occasionally add a
few tablespoons
of water until the
kale softens.
Add the chopped
kale to a large bowl and drizzle a
few tablespoons
of dressing on top and massage / knead the
leaves until tender and softened.

I like them with butter, or with a little pureed berry «syrup» (any combination
of berries blended with a little water; sometimes a

For a last minute touch, toss in about two hands full
of baby spinach or

few fresh herbs when there is 2 minutes
left on the timer.
