It took me a couple of seasons to finally
dive in and buy a
few things, mostly because the collection is always down to a
few off - sizes at my
local store by the time I make it in.
While you're enjoying coffee at your
local cafe, having a
few beers at the
dive bar down the street, grabbing some groceries for a quick meal later, or even while you're at your annual neighborhood BBQ.
When reading about
local dive sites it helps to learn a
few Thai words.

But for the most part, it is a sleepy fishing village with a couple of
dive shops offering diving and deep sea fishing excursions, as well as a
few family - owned businesses with
local guides providing snorkeling tours.
Let me think, a
few days in beautiful Krabi and a couple of days diving at their lovely
local dive sites... Oh go on then, I think I can manage that.
I did
dive the
local dive sites around Phi Phi a
few years ago, and I was glad to
dive them and find out that they are still in good condition and offer enjoyable
dives, even to more experienced divers.
A
few drinks in your
dive resort or maybe a night of kava drinking with the
locals will be the extent of your partying... although, depending on the company, that could prove more than enough.
In the evening expect a
local night
dive, and a
few Loggerhead turtles and a nurse shark or two.
Fewer locals frequent this well touristed area, nevertheless, there are plenty of small warung food stalls selling cold drinks and refreshments, as well as
dive operators and the Bali Seawalker Tour HQ.
Operation could benefit from a
few local experienced
dive masters.
A
few dive resorts on Grand Cayman Island do make day trips to the other islands but generally you will fly there and
dive from
local resorts.

We are used to seeing them on amazing
local dive sites not far from Brisbane (Julian Rocks, Wolf Rock) and we had Fish Rock Cave planned a
few days later during our trip.
