While fashion and
trends change all the time, most consumers still love to have a
few prestigious or conspicuously flashy
items of clothing; while typically priding themselves
on nameplate laptops, smartphones, headphones, etc..
Maybe once this
trend becomes a little more popular places like Payless, Wal Mart, and Old Navy will hop
on board and offer a
few low priced
items.
Conners said other
trends, like
fewer new households, as well as uncertainty in big ticket
items like healthcare reform
on the federal level, could also impact spending and therefore sales tax collection.

Most of my clothing
items are relatively simple; I don't like spending a lot of money
on trends that I know will fade in a
few months — I'm talking to you, off - the - shoulder tops!
Historically year
on year I'd bring back old pieces and simply re-style them based
on new season
trends, but this year I'm really focussing
on starting a capsule summer wardrobe from scratch, longer lengths for a little more modesty (30 is getting closer after all), loose and light weight fits to help me feel more comfortable, and a
few staple
items that can really form the basis of my wardrobe for the season ahead (and last the test of time too).
Over the last
few months, I've definitely embraced minimalism as my favoured approach to clothes, focusing
on quality over quantity, which has benefited everything from my bank account (it's incredibly simple to throw away needless money
on items you will wear once just because they are
on trend!)
I absolutely love this
trend, but unfortunately I felt quite limited when shopping for these
items, since I don't want to buy jeans or trousers with them
on because I'm still losing the baby weight, so I feel like it would be pointless since they might not fit me in a
few months.
We have mentioned more than a
few times
on the blog, how we have been loving stepping more out of our comfort zone and trying new

trends that we may not gravitate towards right away.

My favorite look includes simplicity (
fewer decor
items and neutral furniture), authenticity (vintage,
few trends, daily life
on display), and natural elements.
