This video was made a
few years ago, and the greens are no longer always
organic, but all of the bread and rolls are whole grain, and there are several
choices of fresh fruit daily.
1/4 cup sugar sprinkles in color of
choice (I made my own with
organic food coloring and sugar — you just add a
few drops, mix it well, and let the sugar dry for about an hour on parchment paper)
So if you're like me and want to harness chocolate but want to be mindful of sugar try this: 1 heaping tbsp of
organic cocoa powder + natural low carb sweetener of your
choice (
few drops of stevia, tsp xylitol or pack Truvia) if you tolerate these natural sweeteners (can cause digestive upset for some).
1/2 cup
organic brown sugar 1/2 cup
organic ground coffee 1/2 cup grated dry coconut 1/2 cup of oil of your
choice (Olive, Avocado...) A
few drops of your favorite essential oil
There are several variations of the Udo's
Choice Oil, and one of them (labeled DHA 3 -6-9 Blend) even contains a DHA algae oil blended into the mix along with
organic flax oil, coconut oil, evening primrose oil, rice bran oil, oat germ and bran oil, and a
few others.
SO many tasty and super healthy delicious meal options out there although I would say a perfect meal may be a salad with mixed greens and various other veggies, topped with pecans, an olive oil based dressing, and a
few poached eggs or another
organic meat source of your
choice.
Whether your personal issue of
choice is school food offerings, food access for all, GMOs, or
organics, today is the day to take a
few minutes and advocate for change.
