In the last two months, I've listened to 100 BP podcasts,
a few real estate books, and am ready to get started.
Not exact matches
A
few years ago James K Glassman and Kevin A Hassett wrote a
book predicting that the DOW would soon hit 36,000, while David Lereah authored a guide to «Why the
Real Estate Boom will not Bus» t (it came out in 2006 which in retrospect possibly makes it the worst timed
book ever).
The internet was pretty obviously in competition with a
few obvious industries at that point — like meatspace
book stores — but caught (and is still catching) others off guard: cable TV, movie companies, music companies, FedEx / USPS / UPS, movie theaters, desktop software makers,
book publishers, magazine publishers, shoe / apparel stores, newspaper publishers, video game console makers, libraries, grocery stores,
real estate agents, etc. etc....
In the fifth
book in the series, The Devil's Cave, the cute little village of St. Denis gets a dose of Satanism — plus prostitution, a
few murders and some troubling
real estate ventures.
One other friend of mine left he was in the
real estate space wrote a
book with with a major publishing house and then a
few years later stopped he left
real estate and went into a really strong personal development business and the publisher went up well you're not promoting this
book anymore and they took his
book word - for - word and put somebody else's name on the cover of it and just put a new introduction on it no credit to anybody he had worked because he had two co-authors help him with it because he's dyslexic so they essentially were the ones that wrote it and he provided a lot of the content and the publisher gave those other authors no credit took his name off and put somebody else's name on the front and then the publisher was 100 % within their rights to do it so you know there's a lot of things that I challenge people to kind of think about what's important and if you're putting all your expertise into this
book you want to make sure that somebody's negotiated a heck out of it giving you a contract that actually makes sense for you and your business.
Now that the
book is out there, I felt a twinge of regret for not investing myself in
real estate beyond a principal residence and a
few REITs.
The whole theme of his first
few books was to take risks in
real estate and other investments, but incorporate so you can protect your personal assets in case your risks don't turn out.
Taxpayers must also account for assets like
real estate, cars, computers, furniture, tools, jewelry, clothing and
books, to name just a
few.
I am a
few minutes away from finishing Brandon Turners
book on
real estate investing he wrote in 2015.
That said, I've read and read (including @Brandon Turner's The
book on investing in
real estate with no and low money down) and quite
few others.

Very
few things in
real estate other than reading like a
book or reading a contract take more than about 15 minutes.
I am junior in all this (only read a
few books, watched a webinar, adn don't own a property yet) but my wife and I are building an
real estate education and down payment for this.
