It does have
a few running gags.
Not exact matches
Running a mere 80 minutes and somehow still feeling heavily padded, this Cops spoof yields a
few amusing (if widely spaced) moments but otherwise simply revels in the gratuitous nudity, language and below - the - belt
gags that an «R» rating provides.
There are a couple of great
running gags, along with a
few timely appearances by a giant mallard duck -LRB-?).
Also, the
running gag about Bina's attire being too similar to the wait staff's earns a
few good chuckles.
There's a
few light chuckles here and there, including a decent dynamite
gag and a
running joke about Curly's hair.
It helps that there are greats comedians in supporting roles here and there are
few memorable
running gags outside of the main storyline.
There are only a
few moments where the actors take a break from the shooting and
running to make a quick
gag.
While a
few of the quips and sight
gags might elicit a mild chuckle now and then, for most of the
running length, the juvenile - minded writing and out - and - out silliness never really approach the sharpness or juicy satirical qualities that would suggest an inspired, realized concept.
While the extended
run time makes Wet Hot American Summer's jokes a little easier to get along with, there are still a
few gags that simply don't work.
