It's been a busy
few weeks
for our team but we are very
thankful for all of the great
things we have been able to participate in.
I'd be
thankful for hundreds of
things a day, and it was weird, but it made me realize how we ignore the hundreds of small
things that go right each day rather than the
few that go wrong.
In spite of much that still needs to be done, we had better rejoice and be
thankful, not only
for more comfortable living with the vast range of
things technology has produced, but
for more recognition of race and sex equality and advances toward implementation of these principles; better education; better health; minimum wage, unemployment and social security provisions; and a large network of social agencies that we sometimes fume at as being bureaucratic and expensive but which
few of us would want to see abolished.
Its so nice to have them near, and enjoying a
few moments to catch up is one of the many
things I'm
thankful for this Thanksgiving!
But I was thinking about the
things that I am
thankful for (along with the long list of
things that I need to get done in the next
few days!)

thankful for before bed each night; it will quiet your racing mind and help you sleep more restfully.
Take a
few minutes at the beginning and end of each day to count 10
things you are
thankful for.

Instead, I'd like to express some love
for a
few of the
things that I am
thankful for, and share some stories of generosity and kindness.
As we prepare
for Thanksgiving, I asked a
few of our team members to share the
things for which they are most
thankful.
No matter how you look at it, we all have much to be
thankful for — friends, family, freedom and the rule of law, to name just a
few of the many
things that come to mind.
When it comes to the end of the year, we can all be
thankful for a
few things: our family, our health, and the great deals we can get on Black Friday, all the way through the end of the holiday season.
As we reflect on what we're
thankful for (i.e., our talented team, hardworking agents, incredible partners) and continue planning
for next year, we've put together a
few things you can do in the coming weeks to make 2018 even better than 2017.
My three
things today would be: 1) I am
thankful that today
for a short time I can open a
few windows and enjoy some fresh air in our home before I have to turn back on the AC (101 degrees today).
