few weekends, I've been surprised to find myself reaching for some simple, yet always
classic, pieces in my

wardrobe was in need of a
few classic foundation pieces as evidenced by this month's roundup.
Of course,
classic shoes have been around
few hundreds of years, but what you need to get your head around is slotting them into your everyday look to build up a stylish and timeless
wardrobe.
How I would wear it: There are
few greater
wardrobe staples than the
classic button up shirt.
But I can't rely on this one look to keep me going, I need a
few capsule items to bolster my Spring
wardrobe... my current thinking is a
classic pair of cropped or straight leg trousers (i'm loving these), a quality white shirt to throw on with everything, something a little special for weekends or evenings out (this jumpsuit has seriously caught my eye), maybe a flirty midi skirt for styling up and down (this one's gorgeous), and maybe a statement loafer (these Gucci ones have stolen my heart).
While I don't have a lot of the
classic pattern lining my
wardrobe, I do have a
few pieces for my home that I really look forward to digging out as soon as the temperature starts dropping below 50 - degrees in the evenings.

classic gingham button down, are white jeans, a sunhat to shield my face from the sun, a simple neutral sandal, and a flattering pair of sunglasses.
