slots above the windscreen, hand - holds for rear passengers incorporated into the head restraints of the front seats, remote radio controls on the instrument cluster, twin removable sunroof panels (including a special zip - up storage bag behind the rear seats) and a Land Rover - branded cloth fabric holdall in the front centre console for oddments storage that could be removed from the vehicle and worn as a handbag using a supplied shoulder strap (relatively
few of these bags have survived, making them collectable
items).
Speaking of which, while this is very much the «definitive» version of Mario Kart 8, it's not like the addition of two
item slots and a
few new racers, for me, represents «must - have» status among Switch's first - year line - up — not when the Wii U version is still so damn good.
With only eight
slots, you'll often be forced to pass on picking up key
items only to return later, having scouted out one of the game's
few storage chests.
The vast majority of purchasable
items are merely aesthetic options and the
few things that can be purchased that do affect the playing experience directly are for stuff like extra character
slots & more shared stash tabs.
