Spinal or brain tumours, intervertebral disc disease («slipped disc»), lumbo - sacral stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal), and
fibrocartilaginous embolic myelopathy (a piece of disc material plugs a blood vessel causing spinal cord damage) can all lead to hind end paresis or paralysis.
