It's very rare that
fiction authors are sued
because in
fiction you have a lot more liberty to hide who this person really is.
If you're constantly changing
fiction genres with each and every book you publish as an independent

And I think nonfiction
authors, it's easier
because you can send out useful information like, «Oh, another recipe for your weight loss,» but for
fiction, it's actually really difficult.
I didn't like it
because it was
fiction parading as non-
fiction, from the story to the
author.
She's glad that she returned to the familiar medium of
fiction (she's the
author of one previous novel, The Art of Seeing, 2002 and many short stories)
because she says there are so many wonderful memoirs written by parents already - two of her favorites are Beth Kephardt's The Slant of Sun and Pat Stacey's The Boy Who Loved Windows.
Once my skin thickened up a bit, once I realized how completely cool the character and
author fusion was, I was able to embrace these assumptions for what they were: the ultimate compliment — proof of good storytelling —
because the only way fantasy and reality can blend into such earnest beliefs is if the
fiction feels real enough for the reader to assume that it had to have been drawn from real life, somehow.
We can deduce if the
authors act logically (which they don't seem always prone to do, for prestige reasons,

fiction are on a virtual success, and should fall very loudly in the years to come.
There are tremendous opportunities for
fiction authors on Kindle
because they are so popular and a quick - impulse - buy.
According to this rule, the large majority of writers of literary
fiction aren't «

because they make a significant portion of their livings by teaching, and not solely from their book sales.
Because if this article is proof of anything, it's that the
author's true calling is in writing

Nonfiction
authors have it «easy»
because they write about specific topics, so as a
fiction author you have to find that thread of conviction in your work and communicate that passion to readers.

fiction novels feel the only way to sell books is with promotion after promotion.
The only reason I've listed this site last is
because it's really only helpful to
fiction authors.

fiction writers and
authors because they are creatives at heart and immerse themselves in imagination and their fictional world.
The truth is that many
fiction authors won't suffer
because they are already getting most or all of their books read.

because you're only telling half of the story.

Because a low - quality book will just validate those who believe independent

fiction should just stay where they are: unpublished.
In fact, I often seek out books from debut or newer
authors,
because I want to see what's trending in Christian
fiction.

I think the important difference is that most non-
fiction authors become such as a way to expand their careers, whereas most
fiction authors become such
because they are driven to tell stories.
Pulp
fiction was where
authors started out
because it paid less than «traditional» markets (they were mostly short stories), but with indie novels, I think (some)
authors are making more money than comparable traditional publishing contracts (and I see some trad - pub
authors supplementing their income with self - pub, which is also similar to some of the pulp
fiction writers of the past).
But such
authors will still suffer an intractable disadvantage vis á vis digital publishing —
because, unlike genre
fiction, they can't capitalize on a lengthy series of books to create a cascading income stream.
