This
game have beautiful graphics, good challenging
fighting system (more action), ok
plot, interesting exploring of new locations, quite well done creatures and for me re-playability â
This craziness in the main
game's
plot is kind of necessary, though; the
game features an incredibly large cast of Fire Emblem characters that span multiple different original
games and, in theory, these characters shouldn't be able to
fight alongside each other.
As a result, I'm not exaggerating when i say that this
game looks and plays like a PS2
game, and whatever good story ideas show up in the beginning are completely lost in the end when the
plot becomes so unnecessarily convoluted that you will probably just give up on it and mindlessly go from one boring
fight to the next with no interest in what is happening.
With its six stages, a ship & weapon upgrade system and an adrenaline - inducing soundtrack by A
Plot Against Me, this modern take on classic space shooters mixes elements from
fighting, side - scrolling, shooting and role playing
games.
The result is a movie that provides oodles of eye - candy
fighting and mild gore, but outside of some
plot twists mostly derived from the
game it is based on, offers little of interest from a story or character standpoint.
As many inroads as Mortal Kombat made with its last two entries, the last thing a
fighting game needs is an exhibition of dialogue and
plot.
Now that I've attempted to combat my initial negativity toward the
plot with a small dose of positivity from the
fighting mechanics, let us turn our attention back to the stealth aspects of the
game that I all too briefly talked about earlier.
The
plot is a typical one:
gamers must
fight a series of battles to stop a threat putting the world in danger of being decimated.
+ A cool, Twin Peaks throwback, all wrapped up in a nostalgia heavy farming simulator + Sin System adds tension and suspense to an already intriguing
game + A
plot you need to
fight for, that rewards dedication and hard work + Multiple ways to play + Dedicated developer, who is actively updating and making improvements
They require diligence and hard work to discover: this is a
game that does not relinquish its secrets easily, so if you are in it for the mysterious
plot, be prepared to
fight for it.
Ryu can upgrade his sword, get more life and buy new Ninpo magic attacks between levels with the essence he collects from killing enemies but otherwise the
game plays like a down and dirty action
game with
plot taking a back seat to ninja
fighting and quick and challenging levels.
Players had fun playing as Roy Temperance, who had many skills and perks and could craft weapons and equipment to
fight baddies, all while making dialogue choices with characters that affected the
game's
plot (just like Mass Effect, which also took place in space!).
While the
game suggests there is some kind of
plot, this is never covered in -
game - you simply run through the battles,
fight the last boss (which has no explanation), and then whoever gets the last blow on the boss gets a rather story un-related ending consisting of a couple of bits of artwork and text, usually with cameos from various other Capcom / Marvel characters in unusual situations.
Right at the outset of the
game, you
fight a giant mechanical - looking woman - baby that ties into the
plot in a way that is downright laughable.
While the
plot revolves around the fabled Infinity Stones from Marvel Comics, as both a major part of the story and the gameplay, it doesn't feel as fleshed out or interesting as previous Capcom
fighting games.
In spite not reaching the outside world many imported the
game and
fought through it for years with the use of numerous walkthroughs offering
plot translation, and the
game developed quite the cult following.
And just when you might get sick of
fighting the creatures, the
game pulls out that familiar Alien
plot twist of the military exploiting the xenomorphs, leading you to
fight off brigades of corrupt soldiers and their power - loaders.
Action

games in which the player controls an army; grand strategy
games in which the player controls an empire; racing
games in which the player controls a vehicle; puzzle
games in which the player manipulates geometry; sports

games where
plot is merely a function of competition, character is merely a function of success, and goals take precedence over words.
Fighting and mapping are combined in such a way that the most memorable moments are always derived simply from playing the
game, instead of the staged
plot points more innate to JRPGs.
While the Story mode isn't too deep nor does a great job at explaining what's going on with the
plot, the rest of the
game delivers a solid
fighting game experience that will have players coming back again and again for some bizarre yet addicting gameplay.
Even more impressive is how the
plot actually makes you care about these characters; unlike the intro / outro clipshows most
fighting games have to offer, MKX's story bothers to include things like character development and heartfelt moments in between all the ridiculous action.
That being said, the tutorial is just about the only compelling aspect of the Story Mode as the
plot story is really rather typical of a
fighting game.
The
plot of the
game unfolds in an imaginary universe, where two highly advanced races, Neils and Atlans,
fight against each other.

I personally can't imagine anyone picking up this series for its
plot, but with so many other
fighting games focusing a bit more on storyline as of late it's hard not to warn people away.
Fuel Overdose mixes post-apocalyptic car combat, which in a weird sort of way contains a
plot similar to the movie Death Race, with
fighting game mechanics in that each character has Super and Ultra moves preformed with the right analog stick.
Taking on board the fairly standard

fighting against an empire, the
game made sure its world and characters were intriguing enough to carry it through.
From the highly - acclaimed makers of Melty Blood comes Under Night In - Birth Exe: Late, a brand - new 2D

In terms of the flow of the

fight a boss, you get a story sequence which moves the
plot further ahead, and you repeat.

This kind of

fighting games, showing up in
games like Eternal Champions, Pray for Death, and
Fight for Life, but the twist here is that the nine playable characters are all actually in Hell.
Today's Title: Tekken 7 (Minor

There's a fair offering of daft
plot antics within the
game's «
Fight Lab» mode too, including some rather humourous (and warranted) jabs at some other fighters out there on the market.
Despite being 2D
