film's plot.

film criticism blogs
on the net.
His talents were most recently put
on display in the Netflix
film Okja, which arrived more than 10 years after his breakthrough
film The Host, a creature feature with a now - familiar pro-environmentalism
slant.
Based
on the beloved novel by John Green, this
film is so squarely
slanted toward teen girls that it is likely to annoy everyone else.
Nonetheless,
SLANT has some of the best
film reviews available
on the internet, and the act of reading the contributors» points of view, regardless of agreement, is a high interest of mine.
One more thing: Can you state your reasons
on why you think
Slant has the worst prose possible in
film criticism today, instead of leaving these extreme criticisms half - baked?
Since I find
Slant contrary even within itself (it's one of the few publications where you can read multiple, very different takes
on the same
film, most recently with the blu - ray review of Day of the Dead), I would never consider them a hive - mind.
I never thought I'd see the day when
Slant Magazine would be the one critical outlet reviewing a
film on artistic rather than (knee - jerk) political merit.
