Jainism holds that because of the indeterminate nature of Reality, different viewpoints are possible and that none can claim
final knowledge of the truth — which brings us back to the pervading sense of Mystery.
Is God's
Final Judgment one
of «eternal» hell for mankind who didn't repent while here on earth... despite the fact that Jesus said, «It is finished»... and Jesus «wants all men to be saved and to come to a
knowledge of the
truth»... and Jesus is «our hope in the living God, who is the Savior
of all men, and especially
of those who believe.»
To be consonant with the Word
of God, philosophy needs first
of all to recover its sapiential dimension as a search for... the ultimate framework
of the unity
of human
knowledge and action, leading them to converge towards a
final goal and meaning (para. 81)... to verify the human capacity... to come to a
knowledge which can reach objective
truth (para. 82)... Hence we face a great challenge at the end
of this millennium to move from phenomenon to foundation, a step as necessary as it is urgent.
