After the animal has been at the shelter
for five days, it becomes an
adoptable pet and will be adopted out or taken by a rescue group to help
find it a
home.
There are millions of healthy,

pet store industry not only prevents these needy animals from

home, but also perpetuates the idea that dogs and cats can be bought and sold like inanimate objects.
Baltimore (October 27, 2016)-- Five local animal shelters, the Maryland SPCA, BARCS, Baltimore County Animal Services and Baltimore Humane Society, each a member of the Baltimore Animal Welfare Alliance, along with the Humane Society of Harford County, are working together to

adoptable pets by holding an «Adopt «till you drop!»

Last year's sold out event, themed Moulin Rouge, brought nearly 1,000 animal lovers from across Tampa Bay who helped to raise $ 220,000, and
