I have been involved in reissuing

print works for a new press and I am often aghast at the mistakes
found in
books by supposedly reputable publishing houses.
Once a novel went
out of print, you'd have to scour used bookstores or online
book resellers to
find a moldy copy.
Now, the one thing that makes me different from a lot
of self - pubbed authors is that if I
find a typo or some other issue with a
print book, I can't just change it before the next on - demand
book is
printed and shipped
out.
We
found product market fit by starting with an article and an ebook instead
of doing a
print book out of the gates.

Contemplating the purchase
of an E-
Book Reader I checked
out prices at various sites, and was appalled to
find that whilst you can buy the
print copy
of an older
book for a few pounds + delivery, they wanted the full retail price for an E-
Book.
