find that many
works in the
public domain are available as free ebooks.
For example, one of the special deals touts the classic Zane Grey western — «Riders of the Purple Sage» — for just $ 2.99, though the
work is now in the
public domain, and you can already
find a free edition elsewhere in the Kindle store.

find in ebook format, largely thanks to the sterling and visionary
work of Project Gutenberg (and, more recently, the Open Library, which currently promises over a million free ebook titles).

found my previous link misses some books (due to the way the Amazon search engine
works), but a new link that excludes the
public domain books by looking at the Publisher field (which the Amazon search box and Jungle search miss) is both more accurate and lets you keep the categories on the side for further selection.

public domain, then you can not use it in your own
