Modern Masters: 20th Century Icons from the Albright - Knox Art Gallery will bring together about 70 iconic artworks by Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Georgia O'Keeffe, Salvador Dalí, Frida Kahlo, and Andy Warhol as well as one of Jackson Pollock's
finest drip paintings.
Considered to be one of Pollock's
finest drip paintings, Convergence is eight feet tall and thirteen feet long.

In order to remind a viewer of the authenticity of his
paintings, Jirapat includes
fine drips of
paint, generally in smaller areas of the canvas, to elevate the painterly quality.
His
drip paintings are monumental, large and complex, just like the country itself some would say, and a
fine example of that is the 1952 Number 11.
McGee popularized the use of
paint drips and graphic patterns,
painting directly on gallery walls, and is seen as a central figure in transitioning impermanent graffiti to
fine art.
