artists from the Southern U.S. in museum collections across the country, which in addition to the Met has included the

fine examples of abstract painting and sculpture from Woodmere's collection, the exhibition also presents selections from the transformative promised
gift of
artist and Chestnut Hill resident Karen Segal, which will bring previously unimagined depth to the Museum's holdings of twentieth - and twenty - first century art.
The High's acquisition is part of the Souls Grown Deep Foundation's strategic
gift / purchase program designed to strengthen the representation of African - American
